A successful candidate will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering design team. You will be participating in the design and development of precision and complex mechanisms and the integration of these mechanisms with the Graphic User Interface, optics and electronics of our laser-based automated systems.

You will create new and complex design concepts, and develop engineering designs including: detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, lab reports, analysis reports, contacting outside vendors and validating new designs in the lab. If you are a self-motivated, energetic, and innovative engineer with experience in electro/mechanical design who can contribute to the development of our new PMD™ robotic systems, we would like to talk to you.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS or an advanced degree(s) in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 years experience (or equivalent) in the field (to be demonstrated with portfolio of projects)

• Strong engineering analysis skills to support design decisions - capability to do detailed analysis or "back of envelope" assessments.

• The position requires highly developed trouble-shooting skills, well-developed hands-on skills, and strong self-motivation.

• Knowledge of SolidWorks, Visual Basic, and/or C++ is desirable
